Let's face it ! Nursing is absolutely ONE of the toughest and MOST stressful jobs out there! As a professional nurse your stress levels are probably off the charts!  Your job is so demanding of you ! Stress definitely takes a toll on your body as you deal with your job everyday.  It's not easy working with patients. It doesn't matter whether you work in a office or hospital  it wears you out. People don't understand what you go through unless they are a nurse. Your job is very demanding for the patient care you provide day to day.  👩‍🍳 According to WebMD, stress can cause heart disease, stroke, abnormal heart rhythms, and high blood pressure. Do you travel alot on the airplan e ? Are you on flights travelling all over the USA or do you travel internationally? Often travelling alot stresses our our bodies.  IT doesnt know what hits them. Jet lag disrupts your body by being fatigued .  It also can cause digestive upsets in your stomach. Memory lapses and insomnia are frequent as well. You can get irritable and lethargic.  This is often called the " time zone change. "  You feel like your in some kind of time warp and your body doesn't recover fast ENOUGH . Oh My GOODNESS!  Have you ever had a scalp massage? That's the best feeling EVER!  I just love them! They decrease your stress! You are in a better mood after! To top that off it also stimulates hair growth!  😁 There are numerous benefits of getting a scalp massage. Ginger is one of the oldest and popular healing remedies.  it is great for fighting inflammation in our bodies.  Today most EVERYONE has inflammation in our body .  It's very painful and burns. Ginger has powerful anti-inflammatory compound called "Gingerols." It's a highly effective pain  killer . People who have joint , muscle and nerve PAIN can benefit by incorporating ginger into their diet daily. Ginger is also a great effective immune booster. Did you also know that Ginger has been proven to bring you relief from alot of illnesses in your body? 🤔 I love Ginger!  I make ginger tea and ginger shots when I feel like something is trying to attack my body.  I also add a piece of ginger to my daily smoothies. It gives it a zing and wakes you up for sure LOL! 😆 A ginger shot can be made by  juicing an inch of ginger or so. I juice a half of lemon with it. Then sprinkle with alil of cayenne pepper. Not too much or you will be in fire lol! 😆 T

Are you a singer, professional voice coach or professional singer? Have you heard of " Vocal Tension?" If your a singer you practically will pick up tension ... It's impossible not to ! You create wonderful sounds and tones from your voice . In order to do so you must activate your larynx, jaw, tongue and your lips. For sure there's much involved  singing out a song using your body. If you have a high intensity and a professional level singing then chances are you will have " Vocal  Tension. In today's world Relaxing doesn't come easy to most of us RIGHT?! I DON'T know if it comes easily to any of us! Period! I personally feel that " RELAXING " can be a greater challenge to most of us people. Like especially to those  that practice tensing and don't know how to let go of TENSION😣 Sometimes when I'm working on a client I will ask them to relax a certain body part. It could be their neck or shoulder area where people carry alot of tension. Surprisingly  most clients will say " That's why I'm here ! Isn't that your job?"  Yes to a degree it is ! I mean I'm here to help facilitate  the release of the muscle. To help it learn how to relax. But the client has to understand that we have to work together for the relaxation to be successful. ☺ Now as Massage Therapists we don't expect a client to simply relax . Of course it takes TIME!  Muscle has memory and when it stressed out it tightens and causes the Tension!  And

G ive as much feedback to your MASSAGE Therapist or give nothing at all. Some people will just be micromanagers and will  tell the Massage person about every itch and twitch!  Some are stoic sufferers who won't speak up even if the Massage is too deep.  They will just lay there and take it! Of course IF the licensed massage therapist asks you questions.. ANSWER ! As Massage Therapists we want you to be comfortable with us during your massage.  We don't want you to FEEL uncomfortable.  It is in your best interest to do what suits YOU! Otherwise if being quiet suits you well then be perfectly content to ENJOY your Massage! 😪😪😪 The bottom line here is it's your dollars you are spending. YOU should be getting out of the Massage what you need. A good practitioner of massage will welcome feedback.  It helps THEM to help you get the best massage possible. I know I know ladies LOVE their high heels 👠 whether it be your stiletto or 1 inch heels. Women just like to look sexy and feel powerful and in charge with heels. I truly understand the reason for wearing them. But on the other hand as a Massage Therapist I know what it can do to your body. Are you even aware of what happens to your body physically by wearing heels ? 🤔 So your feet are designed to physically support your whole body. When you wear that heel ladies you are you  are shortening your Achilles tendon. This is the largest tendon in your body . See now it's prone to injury since now it's limited to blood supply. Also the pressure you exert on it while you wear you high heel shoes. When your foot is in your high heels of is pointing downward. This is in a state of constant plantar flexion. OK Nashville we are in a COLD spell again!  The colds and flu viruses are everywhere!  I heard there is 20 different flu strains this year! 🤤 Shocking I know! Who really likes to get a COLD or flu virus? No one ! You know when you feel that tickle or soreness in your throat? Or you start getting congested? Yep it's too late you caught something you didn't ask for! You will start experiencing the cold or flu in one to four days after you have been exposed to it. I hate that!  Then most people will rely on over the counter flu and cold remedies. Then you have some who will be out and about spreading the germs to other people... SERIOUSLY people IF you are sick STAY HOME!!! 😣 Ok did you know that you can take precautions to prevent yourself from getting sick??? If you do certain things taking necessary  steps you will save yourself alot of Kleenex and headaches. Step 1 ... sleep more! If you get seven to eight hours of sleep a night you will be less likely to catch anything!

It seems like things are just becoming obsolete  in the digital world as well. People are now searching on social media  for #hashtags on whatever  they are looking for including massages! Social media seems to be where it's at.. look at Facebook, Instagram , Twitter and YES even Snapchat. Have you ever experienced sore muscles before? I'm  sure some time in your life you have or perhaps even right now? What causes that ? Muscle soreness can be attributed to alot  of things. It can be due to stress or tension in your body. Maybe you just started working out in a gym? If so you could wake up the next day feeling pain from hell! I know the feeling ... not fun!  You may have overworked your muscles to the point of exhaustion.  Of course if that's the issue you have inflammation as well. Been there done that too!  Maybe your just fatigued and tired in your body ? 🤔 Whatever the reason is  how can you get the muscle soreness to go away?
