Of course as a Licensed Massage therapist I highly recommend all cancer patients to get a doctor's note for clearance. This is for their own safety and assurance. We as Massage therapists want to add to your cancer care. Most doctor's will suggest a light soothing massage. On areas of the body where the tumours are the doctor usually tells you to avoid these areas from being massaged. It's very sensitive and uncomfortable. A doctor will provide your Massage therapist with specific instructions.
